RedHanded

The Addresses to My Pursuits #

by why in -h

Okay, folks, my code repository is finally all dressed up. If you’re following Camping or Hpricot or Sandbox or anything else, there are adequate RSS feeds and wikis to satiate your starving purple brains.

Two things I’d like to mention:

  • You can use your Rubyforge account to get access to any of the Trac wikis and bug trackers. There was too much needless spam, sawry.
  • Some projects are marked dormant since I’ve not touched them in a year. I have plans for most of these. See, they’ll be rewritten once the sandbox and (Poignant) Guide are done.

Pretty nice! Markaby needs an icon. :) (Now I can refresh its RSS feed 10 times/minute eagerly awaiting its next release that works with caching, and corresponding docs. ;) I couldn’t get Markaby from svn to work. :( )

Man, you’ve raised the bar again.

I need to do better for my own projects-on-the-web-tree, for which the front page is a blank index.html at present. Not that I have so many or so interesting.

(Also mine will never have an awesome little tiki man.)

Very impressive. I need to setup something like that for my own work.

neat, how did you do the rubyforge integration?

said on

Joe Ruby: what is it about Markaby that isn’t working? Please post a ticket!

Is Balloon’s code missing on purpose?

said on

not-a-proper-patch, but it could do with a thingy in the header, like redhanded has, perhaps

It helps to hit preview ehn I mean to hit preview. The HTML bit wasn’t escaped of course: that should have been %Q{do with a #{$less_than}link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" .... #{$greater_than} thingy} of course, where those globals are the characters “of an ancient mode, which I shall not utter here”. :-)

Tim: See this thread: http://www.ruby-forum.com/topic/78789

The latest version (svn) of Markaby totally blew up on me, so I reverted back to 0.4.

I must ask: what magic did you concoct to generate the RSS feeds for each and for all?

From here, the mirage looks like a custom Builder-based ruby script that gets poked by cron every so often.

Giulio Piancastelli: No, balloon is kept in my git repo. So is andrea.

said on

Oh and the RSS feed script is there, too.

Is your git repo (or a mirror thereof) available public’ly anywhere?

wicked-cool, thanks why!
