My own relatives have trouble spelling my last name. It’s A-y, right Why? ;)

I always want to read Caleb Tennis as Caleb Dennis. Isn’t there someone in the Ruby community with the last name Dennis? Maybe that is why I do this…or I just don’t like Tennis as a last name.

Oh, great. Just what I need. The name Garth Bowling. It makes me want to shoot myself.

Elf? I know someone named Ork (which is the dutch translation for the more commonly known Orc).

Guys my last name has landed me dead last in the phone book every where I have even lived ;-)

Funny that there should be 2 of us at the same conference; it’s not that common of a name.

“Tennis” is a strange name, but people have problems with mine, too. “Love”. Who the heck can’t spell “love”? But I get asked all the time how to spell it.

I have the bad luck to have a French last name which is also a correct English word (Grandsire). Not a very common English word, but known by many people nonetheless. I’ve lost count on how many times I’ve heard my last name pronounced “grandseye-er” :( .

And then there’s the strange mistake I’ve seen many people do in the country I’ve been living in for four years (the Netherlands), which is to write and pronounce my name as “grandshire”. Come on! I may be a LOTR fan but this is ridiculous!

Hah. I can’t say ‘Aredridel’ either. Guess it’ll just be ‘Ari’ or ‘Aria’ in person.

‘McCoey’ should be said like ‘McCoy’ only with an Irish accent! Seeing my name up here also makes me feel happy!
